does anybody know where i can get a handbrake eqalizer strap for a mk1 escort? i cant seem to find one. failing that maybey some kind of option on how to repair or mod something to make it work. mine has completely broke in two.

if it aint broke, break it!
AVO Club sell them...I would also try GS Escorts...just make sure you order the right one...there are 2 types.

Drill out the two rivets in each half, find a piece of suitable material to repair it with (rubber dustbin lids are very similar) and rivet it back together. If you can't find a rivet use a 6" nail cut into suitable lengths.
