after I bent a valve I fitted a accuspark limiter. It was £30 and a soft cut and adjustable and easy to fit but most are.

Reply from Accuspark. Not suitable for factory electronic ignition. Any other suggestions. Keep it clean.

What do you mean with Bosch electronic distributor?
What is the electronic ignition used?
Cheapish rev limiters cannot handle the "extra" high voltage spike common with electronic ignition with dwell control.
I always use the Lumenition rev limiters.

I’d have a gess and say what you did is not factory ignition, looks like mine on my pinto. That is a accuspark electronic distributor. And Lucas coil, mine has been on over 2 years and gets used regularly.

    Re: Rev limiter

I'm running a Bosch electronic ignition in my Fiesta using a VW rotor arm with rev limiter built in, it cuts in at 5750rpm iirc

    Re: Rev limiter

surely 5750rpm is too low for any sort of tuned x/f?

VW rotor arms range from 5400 to 7300.I just need to know which VW rotor arm will fit a Bosch electronic distributor with a side entry cap from a Valencia engine .
