    Rubber equest

The mk2 is nearly finished, new 205's on the rear, but the front 185's need discarding, what should i look for regarding compound and type etc? the car is due to have it's first run with a totally different engine and suspension set up, and i don't know if i need winter tyres, all season ones or........?
It's a road car, not for drifting rallying, drag racing etc etc... but will be quite high performance, any ideas?

a lot will depend on what you can get in any given size. winter tyres have a very soft compound and wear very fast if driven with any real gusto in the summer. one of the grippiest bog standard cheap road tyres you can it are uniroyals
