Dry sump oil tank size?
Hi folks.
Can anyone recommend a perfect size for a dry sump oil tank to be put on a fairly specced 2.0 Pinto Escort Mk1 rear?
I've been struggling to find info about this for some time…
Really don't want to go too big or too small for all the obvious reasons. I know there's some "science" to it because you have to have in account the oil lines length, warming up to temp time, etc.
I'd really appreciate some help on this.
Cheers and thanks a lot,
Mário Santos.

most tanks are two gallon, oil line size and length doesnt really come into it

Position of the tank is important
If it's in the engine bay then you can run
A 5ltr tank if you want
But it's better to run the tank bigger if it's at the rear of the car

Yeah. It'll be installed at the rear.
Thank you guys for the info. That's enough for me.
Cheers,
Mário.
