How to lower front end after installing rubber roller top mounts? Mk1 Escort.

    Hi all!

So after my original top mounts on my Mk1 perished I purchased some GRP4Fabrications rubber roller top mounts. They've raised the car about an inch from where I had it. Although I've ran at this height for a few years, I'm looking to bring the front down back to it's original position.

What are my best options to drop the height? Keep in mind I don't want to run coilovers as that would require certification here in New Zealand.
    1. Shorten shocks and springs? Never done this before so I'm unaware of the process.
    2. Change to concentric top mounts. Too rough for the road?
    Any thoughts appreciated!

    Cheers!

Should've mentioned in my first comment, I'm already running 2 inch lowering springs from Burton.
