    hydraulic handbrake

    hi,

I am planning to mount a hydraulic handbrake on my escort mk1 .
is it possible to mount a little oil reservoir on the handbrake's inlet en just leave with one tube from the out from the handbrake to a T piece on the rear brake pipe ?
    i have a pedal box with 2 m. cylinders ( front and rear ) .

i guess you could, but why do it like that? you just fit the cylinder inline into the rear brake pipe, no separate reservoirs or T pieces required

The reason is because of the technical control ( belgium ) .
It would be easier to remove this for one day . I could block of the T piece and remove 1 pipe .

But wouldn't that mean you have no 'emergency' brake for whatever technical inspection you have in Belgium?
We have to retain some form of mechanical operation if a hyd. handbrake is in operation.

I still have the original handbrake connected with a cable to my wilwood brakes .
The calipers have a handbrake lever but it is not very " good " .
I woul set an optional vertical lever in the car .
