In another post, I was looking for the Pinto main and conrod clearances and had received help from Graham Bahr. Many thanks once more for that help.
Now, I would like to learn the main and conrod clearnces this time for the YB turbo engine with the YB OE crankshaft.
Also, I am confused with some threads regarding the crankshaft material difference which also effects the clearnces. For ınstance, some threads says that OE Pinto crank bearing clearnces will be different then the OE YB crank clearnces. Is this because of the turbo? which needs greater clearnces or just the crankshaft material ? I need help on this issue.
Also, I have a Farndon crank and plan to use this in n/a Pinto with Burton steel rods. In this case, shall apply the known Pinto clearances ( 0.0015-20" ) or wider clearances ?
I will very much appreciate some detailed help on this matter. Very confused.
