Tranx Sierra Diff and bolt on shafts/rear discs

I have a tranx LSD to fit to my sierra 7" diff in my kit car but I also want to use the bolt on shafts and rear disc set up I have invested in rather than retain the rear drums.

I know the bolt on shaft diff stubs can be removed from a normal open diff and inserted into any other open diff to convert from bolt on to push in shafts and visa versa.

Has anyone done this with a tranx? I have heard that the stubs need modification to fit a snap ring as you cant get in to fit the normal circlip.

    Any info/advice welcome

    Thanks,
    David

Just got off the phone from Tran-x and they are indeed suitable for both push in and bolt on shafts.

To fit bolt on shafts you just need to modify the bolt on flanges from the diff to fit a snap ring. They are sending me out an info sheet and a couple of snap rings FOC (what more could you ask?!) This is basically because you cannot get inside the diff to fit the normal clips which would retain the flanges.

Very helpful company to deal with

I realise this is a very old post, but I find myself in the same position. Does anyone have a copy of the info sheet from Tran X on how to modify the flanges to fit?
