    Rolleyes Pinto head modifications

    Good day all

I am in the process of building a pinto motor. It is a injection motor which I'd like to run on a weber 38dcd. I have thus far skimmed 1mm off the head and 1mm off the block so I'd like to know if I can use the Fr33 camshaft with Ft415 valve springs and would I need to pocket pistons. Also do I need a vernier pulley.

1mm is a lot to skim off the block, what pistons have you got? if its high comp pistons they will stick out the top by a fair bit. fr33 shouldn't need the pistons pocketing, vernier is optional, but really you need some way to get the cam timing correct

    Hi Graham

Thank you for your response, it's the std flat top pistons and 1mm should be compensated for by the head gasket.
Engineers said it will work let's see lol....
