    Piston pocketing

    Hi I plan on putting deeper valve cut outs in my st170 pistons, I have a spare damaged one which I am going to experiment with to see how deep I can go what is the minimum crown thickness i should leave

    it rather depends on where in teh piston you are talking about but generally 6mm is about as thin as you can safely go

    yes i gathered that, you could probably get away with 5mm
