    Pinto running rough when cold

I haven't been running my escy over the last few years but I do
Start it every few months. The thing is when I do start it, it takes ages to start running on 4 cylinders.Once its warmed up it starts slowly running on four. Then after about 15/ 20 mins its settles down.
I have one of those acuspark ignitions.Could that be failing?

    Cheers Chris

Potentially fouled plugs - may get hot but its ain't burning off the cold rich idle mixture off. Plugs these days don't tolerate fouling like they used to. Best warm up is over a few miles of use - gets everything hot.

    points or electronic ign ?

maybe after its been stood a while , remove coil lead and crank it over a bit.
then remove plugs and see if one is fouled up - im thinking valve stem possibly ?

in reality if its being left for extended periods its more or less normal .....................

Took plugs out cleaned them and put some fresh fuel in and it wont start at all.Fires here and there but thats it.
Just going to have to replace everything leads plug cap etc.
It has one of those acuspark conversions that I put on.Just wandering if thats failing.

What carbs are you running? Do you use a choke to start it? My pinto runs rough if it’s left stood until it’s warm, also it doesn’t like been left idling for a long time like at its mot, where it fouled a plug,

Where do you keep it? Warm cold etc could be condensation on a plug lead, do you know which club set is off when it’s cold?
