    Alley Cat Alloys 13x8

Hi, I have decided to sell my alley cat alloys, 13x8 as they are too wide for my liking, having to run stretched tyres to clear the arches.

Trouble is I have no idea what they might be worth? Could anyone give an indication? Centre section is painted red in good condition, Spare is all silver (note bore is different for fitting to hub for this one). I don't know anything about them as they came with the car. 2 Nankang 185/60/13 tyres inc.

    Try and add pics later

I use alleycats rallying, so i buy them as they come up. I've paid as little as £30 and never more than £50 each, that would be for cosmetically rough wheels that need to be blasted and painted.

Keep in mind that a brand new minilite or 4 spoke revolution can be had for a £100, so if the wheels are in very good condition expect £80-£100, if they need to be painted, maybe £60-70.

I have four 13x7 alleycats that are blasted and ready for paint if you're interested in a swap. (But shipping could be tricky, i'm in ireland)

Thanks for the info. They are in very good condition I'd say. Cheers for the swop offer but think I would prefer minilites or similar.

No worries, good luck with the sale.

The red looks really good, any pictures of them fitted?

Yeah previous owner ran 175s!!!As per pics above. Not for me! Stick to my 7" on 185/60.

Guess with a wide arch they would suit fine.

Open to sensible offers on these. I realise the colour and size won't be to everyone's taste.

i run 165/70/13 on 8's when drifting they will not come off until you loose almost total tyre pressure. safe as houses

Great call Freddy , however, skidding around a car park at 40mph may be slightly different to 70 mph on the road.
Bead wires /tubeless seal area of tyres are designed to run within certain parameters.
When sidewalls are stretched beyond these parameters , the tyre stands much more chance of bead/pressure failiure.

We must be carfull in media telling people they won't have an issue etc.
Just my humble opinion, having been in the tyre trade since 1975.

When i said drifting i ment 50/60mph drifts at circuits (and getting faster all the time)and pulling around 110mph on the straights between corners not pissing around on the roads, i'm far from a pro but improving all the time. and i have never had a tyre come off the bead due to a bead wire failure. Of course your running a tyre out of the recommended parameters there is always going to be more risk, but a 'sensible' stretch i find works fine and can take what ever most drivers can throw at them obviously my stretch isn't sensible but still works for me on the drifting front. I find most of the advice on the net is scare mongering and often very very over cautious rather from personal experiences .
