I have now had the drawings redone, with a bigger seal surface area (total diameter now 34.92mm whereas the orginal is 35mm). Link to the new drawing:

Thanks for the response, yes the price will still be £25 - I still have to buy a minimum of 10 unfortunately. I will keep two for myself, and so Id really like to get rid of another 5 if possible just so I recover a bit of the cost.

Just found this tread. I used a coupling from a Groenveld automatic chassis lubricator, used on trucks, and it fitted perfektly. Hope this helps someone to get the fuel out of their original tank.

When I was researching this, I found a lot of people asking similar questions and resorting to welding the required fitting on to the existing outlet. I think there would definitely be a market for it, I wish Id have been able to follow through with the design I had drawn up but there was such a big outlay initially I just couldn't stomach it!

Looking back at what i have found so far running my 044 pump on gravity an-6 doesn't seem to be large enough i think most aftermarket tanks use an -8 which i think would be enough but an-10 would be plenty you can reduce from there. I think the biggest fitting i can fit in my pre filter would be an-8.
As for interest i would have one. I have a solution but it could be neater and better than it is and this would do it.
I went to my mate and took the fitting out of the tank and he had various pipe/hydraulic fittings and managed to reduce it to -8 jic and I used an fittings from there to the inlet of my fuel pump and it’s just rubber hose from the pump onwards. Pirtek would be a good place to try.
I’m unsure how to post a pic to show you all, it took 3 pieces to reduce it and unfortunately I don’t known what sizes they are, he thought 3/4bsp

Just to update, the boss has agreed in principle, and we have a sample piece on order from out Engineering suppliers. I can't imagine them screwing it up so it looks likely this will be in the Motorsport-Tool.com range by the end of the year.
Brilliant! Thats great news, I hope it works out well for you and helps some people out. I will certainly be placing an order when they do become available.

Yep, 2nd sample arrived last week, this time with -8 outlet rather than -10 and a few tweaks to bring the weight down a touch. I just need to verify that it fits the tank OK then I will authorise for production. Hopefully that will get done on Friday - I'm still working from home but have things to do on site Friday, which time permitting will include getting this one signed off. If in the meantime someone wants to do my job for me and test the original -10 outlet variant, let me know your address and I'll post it to you.

thats brill news. Can't wait for one. Alas i have 1/2 a tank of petrol at the mo but if you get really stuck i can test the tank thread but would have to drain my tank. I am hoping the -8 will be being enough to supply a bosch 044 on gravity.
Yeah really pleased this has finally been made, I'm certain it will help lots of people out with their conversions. Im in the same boat as wildo105e, i have a tank full presently and to be honest, the adapter I made is fine (nowhere near as nice looking though!) so Id rather not disturb it. Great stuff for seeing it through though!
Went up Friday,new Magnum tank in stock, went to try....argh Magnum use a different boss. Fortunately the boss found an old original tank in his stash and I can confirm the fittings fit and work. I have made one last change which is to drop the size of the Hex down to 21mm and put a 36mm flange on it, a lot closer in style to the original boss which should make fitting a bit easier. All approved and should now be on order, hopefully they will arrive in the next container load, no date yet unfortunately.

Just to update, after the container sat in Port waiting for a ship for 2 months the stock on it has now been offloaded and has been air freighted over. These are now on schedule to arrive tomorrow, and after a delivery inspection next week they are all set for listing. There's a lot of new stuff in this shipment so it may be a couple of weeks before listings are live. MST-1166 is the part number to keep an eye out for.
