    Twin cam anti roll bar

Hi all. Does anybody know the best twin cam anti roll bar to buy that fits.
I have a World Cup crossmember with lowered rack, correct historic TCAs and correct cranked steering arms (all from the same very respectable company) however their twin cam anti roll bar fouls on the track rod end when on lock on droop (not good for a rally car). Also I have the correct roll bar mounts as supplied with the bar.
To me it looks like the kink/bend nearest to the TCA is to lazy, but they tell me it’s the same jig they have used for years.
I have seen pictures of others that look like they have a sharp bend/kink immediately after the TCA threaded mount.

The first picture is on lock and the second is with the wheels straight.

This type of thread keeps constantly recurring with people having the same problem as you have with pattern Twin Cam ARB's. My guess is most of them come from the same supplier and they are probably made in China.

I recall reading a post on here not a long time ago and someone mentioned that GP4 in Ireland sold the correct ARB to solve your problem.

You look to have a nice Shell there and the work you are doing appears to be first class.

This is what a genuine ford one looks like.
Just for reference that's a 65mm diameter wd40 can sitting in the bend

Re: Twin cam anti roll bar

Thanks for the replies and pictures, very helpful. Yes I also have read a few posts on here regarding this. The anti roll bar I have is from Gartrac and im sure made in the Uk, but that’s not to say it’s made correctly. Never had a problem with anything Gartrac and you usually get what you pay for.

However as soon as I opened the box I questioned it as it did not look like a sharp enough kink/bend but was assured it was the same one they had made forever. Yet one picture of a the anti roll bar kit on their website clearly shows a roll bar that looks a lot like the original ford one (with sharp kink/bend). And sure enough it hit the steering track rod end. Very fustrating.

Will try and speak to someone at Grp4 and also Rix engineering do what is supposed to be to original ford spec.

All seems a lot more difficult than it needs to be.

Thanks for that Dave. I have just bought 4 Revolutions that are a Minilite copy and they are unfortunately made in China. My arm was really twisted up my back because the only alternative was some over priced second hand shite that would need refurbishing. I have 7 x 15 and I am looking to fit 195/50 profile Toyo R888 tyres. Are they road legal as it needs to pass its MOT on them?

Back to the ARB problem. Companies like Gartrac are profit orientated and if they can save a few quid by sourcing cheaper components then they'll do just that. I know of someone that bought a set of MK1 bubble arches off them and the quality was n't what he was expecting.

    Twin cam anti roll bar

Have you tried asking to Phil and Mick at RACE Rally and Competition Equipment? They only sell what they use on their rally cars. As mentioned Grp4 Fabrications also known to be a quality parts supplier but as also mentioned nowadays Escort parts usually comes from the same sources however there are still good and the bad ones.
