Pistons and Rods for Duratec 2.4 l
Hi,
Does any one know what kind of rods and pistons are used for a Duratec 2.4 l?
The 2.4 l is a mix of 2.5l engine block(bore 89mm) and 2.3l crankshaft (94mm stroke).

If you were to have 89mm + 1mm oversize (90mm) with a 94mm crank it would give you the capacity of 2390 cc.
If you speak to Paul Gardner Engines nr Garstang in Lancs he should be able to supply you with the required components even down to a bored block.

can i ask why? 100cc will make very little difference and complicates things a lot

That's what I thought but each to their own. The days of big bore conversions are over with modern engines, it's pointless for the little gain in performance and then there's the reliability issue to take into account.

327 Bhp, that's a lot of power.
Funny thing is, this is the same company who sold me a 220 Bhp Vauxhall 2 Ltr group N kit years ago. Customer of mine was asking for a big group N engine and my though was I would run stuck round 180 Bhp, even not hoping on 180 bhp. The engine finally made +/- 175 Bhp. When I was asking why I did not had anything over 200 Bhp they told me I had the ECU calibration wrong (in worse case my ECU jetting lost over 50 Bhp !!!!!). So I suggested to take the engine back out, went over to them so they could do the tuning and I was willing to pay for anything over 200 Bhp (not even 220 bhp needed). A lot of calls a lot of talking but they never ever let me come over with the engine for a dyno / ECU setup. Sure these engine can make 220 Bhp in group N configuration with standard inlet manifold !!! (?????????????)
And also sure they can make 325 Bhp at less than 8500 RPM out of a 2,4 Ltr Duratec. (??????)
