1936 Austin A10 Hot/Street rod project with v6 cosworth engine

Bit off a different one this!

This was a project I started with my Bro-in-law a long time a go! And I've just recently rescued it before it ended up in someone elses hands

I'll let you look at the piccies first then give you a bit of a description
(piccies were taken on my phone as my camera batteries ran out!!)

It started life as an Austin A10 but the chassis was pretty much shot! So, we decided to build our own chassis.
We decided on BMW E30 components and acquired a donor car. We used the rear 'clip' from the BM and modified the front struts to make them coil overs with new inserts (don't actually remember what they were from )

The choice was for easy relaxed driving but something that handled okay. We then decided on the Cosworth Granada engine as this would work well and it was already rear wheel drive.

The original shell was very slim, so we cut it in half down the middle to make it a bit wider!

The idea was to use a lot of the parts from the Granada. i.e. more of a modern day car luxuries but in an old shell. Was going to fit the electric sunroof, windows, seats and central locking.

The car, as you can see isn't in the best of conditions! It was originally under shelter but it eventually got pushed out side with a tarpaulin over the top. This, over time got ripped and the car was left to the elements!

If anyones interested in this, then I suggest coming and having a good look round it. I can also answer any questions (well, I'll try to!!)

It's not a quick finish project and whoever buys it would need time and good facilities.

I'm looking for £550 for this which is less than what I paid for the donor Granada!! I'm obviously going to loose a lot of money on it but I guess that's life
(that price doesn't include the alloys but we can always come to some arrangement with them )
    Cheers

I couldn't agree with you guys more! Just have to be honest about it and admit I'm never going to finish it.
If you know anyone who might be interested or could link it on another site that would be appreciated
    Cheers
