It is similar inasmuch as it is a 4 cylinder 16 valve engine, but the F20C (S2000) engine is different in almost every way to the K20 (Civic type-R) engine

The K20 engine is a much better engine though if you could make it RWD. Especially the engine out of the integra which I have in my 205gti.
