    mk 1/ 2 escort rear wheel bearings

    Hi ..i have a escort mk2 based jago jeep and have a problem with a weeping seal on the rear hub allowing oil into the brake shoes..Can anyone tell me how i can identify the rear axle that i can replace wheel bearing..Are all the rear wheel bearings similar for mk2 escort Timken axle or are there different size bearings for different models...

    as far as i know. all escort english axles have the same bearing

    Be warned, those bearings with the O seal are nearly always the problem. If you can get some good quality, European made ones (or North American or Japan, what I’m really saying, is Not Chinese) then smear a little gasket sealer on them before fitting, you shouldn’t have any further problems.
