    Fuel starvation issue

Looking for ideas really as i am stumped.

Have a 88 sierra Estate with 1800 Pinto fitted, the car has been fine for the last 18 months but in the last week or so it has started to play funny buggers, typical as i have spun the big end bearings in the escort so am down to 1 car.

the Sierra is ok pottering around town Ect until it gets warm, it then acts as though it is out of fuel even though it has plenty in the tank, the car will die off and the only way to keep it running is to pull the choke fully out, this allows you to limp it home whilst still running as though its short on motion potion.

i initially thought blocked filters so changed the fuel and air filters and cleaned the filter in the carb, nothing there, then changed the fuel pump and spacer, seemed ok for about 10 miles and did the same thing again..

it is getting a healthy spark but have changed the leads plugs and cap just in case.

Car has been converted form Pierberg to a Webber 32/36 DTML(?) this was done before i bought the car with a full kit and has been fine up to now.

when the fault presents it slef there seems to be no fuel going down the primary barrel apparet from the squirt from the accel pump when giving it a blip, i noticed fuel was dripping into the secondary last night but swapping the fuel pressure regulator on the wing has stopped this.

Thinking i will swap the Dgas from the escort onto it tonight to see if that helps.

anyone got any ideas as this has me demented now...

    Re: Fuel starvation issue

    Fixed it

Adapter plate connecting the carb to the manifold was only held on by one stud and some RTV, re tapped the threads and re assembled and it seems fine, must have only been leaking air under the carb when warm if any one s interested.
