    Smoking cossie

Can someone please give me advise on a 2wd sapphire thats smoking blue reek when its just cruising along, had it about 2 months and the headgasket went a couple weeks ago, so a mechanic stripped it all, checked the block, rings etc and told me it just needed a head set, so got a group a set from burtons and he done the job. The cars back and goes great, even on full welly there's no smoke but as soon as your in the town goin slow you can see some smoke in the mirror, no to bad but enough to piss you off. Av just noticed the gasket packaging in the boot and the new stem seals haven't been fitted. Could this be the problem and if so can they be done without the head comin off again. Any help greatfull
