    Inlet valve seat insert

    Hi all by fitting valve inserts and lowering inlet valve out more will I gain more horse power by doing this as my old valves are deep in camber cheers mario.

    Not sure about more horsepower, but surely it'll change the compression ratio slightly? You'll also be changing the lift of the camshaft which could also mean you'll need longer valves wont it????

    I suppose that might add up to a little more hp, not sure about all those statements really
    though....???

    if you have big valves then if you already have exhaust inserts for unleaded there wont be room to fit an insert.

    you will gain very little unless fitting the insert allows you a better shape to the short turn or the valves are badly shrouded in the head. if you can it would probably be better to use a slightly bigger inlet .
