    Cool Dyno Run

Had the escort re tuned today after fitting a new twin box exhaust.

    207bhp@7590rpm.
Needs verniers adding really, though with cams only being 1612's I thought I'd wait until I build the Proper engine (this ones the mule)
And it's still on 42mm chokes - way too big, taper bodies are next on the list

Drive home was fun - M5 and M6.
here's the video of the dyno run, watch for the strobe shift light on the dash

    Re: Dyno Run

It's got a 'full spec' head it as well.
I've put some verniers on it now, showing 216hp on rollers.
Desperate to change the chokes now, current ones are 42mm!
Seen some 38mm chokes for 48's at burtons.
I'm happy with the power so probably now won't put bodies on it, £3k all in - Inc tank etc, it's quick enough now.

    Re: Dyno Run

    Yep, that's Mick,
he's waiting to re do the car with the verniers and some other minor mod's I've done since last run.

    Mk2 goin as I have a S1 turbo ( bought it in 1996)
it's a nice one ( bloody should be the amount of work/ parts it's had to get it where it is.
I lost interest in it and built the mk2 from a rolling shell, almost everything is new.

One of em has to go,.....

The S1 has "RS" on its log book.
    The mk2 doesn't.

    Termoil !!

    Re: Dyno Run

Not that my opinion counts for anything , however a s1 is a proper car that is just starting to get the recognition they deserve. I've had 3 including a feisty one and they were great fun , comfortable and quite an appealing motor. Trickier call than people think this one and I will wait with baited breath for an answer. As u can see I ve got time to spare at the moment
rust , rust and more rust,.....wait, wheres the rust gone now ?
