Re: 2011 track day 18th march.

Well after having the best sleeps last night i thought i would right a little report, I didnt get the coombe till around 11 in the morning.
And all the way up to coombe it was raining dark and grey.

It was raining when we got to coombe, after to appropriate stop for a good munch first, and saying hello`s ect, there was signs of the first casualty`s of the day. . .And Renualt clio cup and a Escort van. . Gutted for you guys ;-(

I was amazed how quick and sideways some of you guys where going in the rain. The reading massive were squatting in the middle of the so called pit area and the banter and ribbing was in full effect.

Ralph and neil were busy helping everyone else fix or repair there cars, Even boxxer`s door ofter some fat fooker leant on it and went out in it and broke it. .
Nothing a FBH and most of reading and even Hippyand a load of smashing and big bolt could`nt fix. Even better than before hey Mikey ;-)

After watching a few people peddling there cars round the circuit in the wet on slicks, i thought that was a brave decision.... And there was a few cars that was not a nice at the end of the day.
But know one was hurt at all, gentleman we salute you!!!

Must say a mssive thanks to Neil (NTS) for an excellent few laps in is supercharged V8 capri, Again after the tempory fix to his pump that with Winkles advce FPMSL was fixed and worked fine. I think we did around 10 laps and most of these were when the track was drying and sun was out, But most of the time i was looking out of the passenger side window and rear window being part of the reading drift display team. . .Was very funny, and Neils was in total control of his car in all conditions. Well done fella

Also Nick, and his BMW that was lapping like it was on rails and looked really good from the trackside. . .It was even better out on track in it, but after putting a wheel on the wet grass it bit him, but nothing to serious and he drove home. . . Neck and back are ok now Nick!! and glad you got it home and will be brand new soon and back on track knowing yo mate.

All in all it ws a wicked day, and i was so fooked that i have a massive thanks to Dan for doing me a massive favour and driving these and back so i could have a sleep having gone there straight from doing a night shift the previous night... CheeRs Fella..

After spending the day @ a trackday i so cant wait to get out on track and have a play in the Sunbeam. Thanks to everone that turned up
There was some excellent driving out there yesteday, and some pukka cars there, Cyco you Mk2 looks the absolute nuts ;-). . .

Well done to Trig for organising what was a wicked day out and see you all @ the next one

Some good action out there in the morning, great entertainment. Only got a few shots on track, and some static.

    Thanks Trig.

what an amazing track day! it was raining all morning but made for some exiting drifting, then the sun came out for the afternoon session. the track was proper greasy to start with when i took to the track with my purple peril, but it soon dried out meaning i could go as fast as my little 1600 xflow could go with my 1300 4 speed gearbox.
i had a great day so thanks for that trig
i def be there at the next one although with webers and my 5 speed box fitted fingers crossed
if it aint broke, break it!
