Shorrock supercharger Kent
Folks,
I'm preping a 1100 Kent with a Shorrock blower.
It started life as an 1100 with skinny drums, I've got some early P16 callipers but can't seem to find gallery seals so I can split them and overhaul them thoroughly.
Not planning on needing spacers for vented discs so all I really need are the seals - can anyone help?
I plan to do the brakes as a single line non-servo, with a larger master cylinder - Haynes manual suggests some vans were set up like this.

you do not need to split the calipers if you are just going to do pistons/seals

Re: Shorrock supercharger Kent
'Fraid the calipers need a bit more than new piston seals!
I don't think they've seen much TLC in the past 40 years!
They're having the full treatment.

Re: Shorrock supercharger Kent
If the chrome on the pistons is pitted and there's corrosion on them you are wasting your time unless you have a new set of pistons to fit.

Re: Shorrock supercharger Kent
folks,
still looking for a spec for these seals.
It ain't knackered 'til it's dust so none of these "issues" are a problem from my perspective. Wouldn't be the first time I've made a set of stainless pistons......

Have you tried the likes of Big Red Brake’s? They sell all kinds of rebuild kits and remanufacture calipers so should be able to help.
