Mk1 Escort Van prices ?

I'm thinking of selling my Mk1 van

been offered something else which may be better for me in the long run, problem is im not sure what my van might fetch in todays climate ?

Alot of you know the van it use to have the port hole windows fitted, now removed and fully seam welded repair fitted in their place, running 2.o injection pinto on standard Efi manifold ecu etc, currently has a slot mag type wheels 5 type 9 speed box, superb standard rear doors now fitted, metal mex wings, recaro front seat 6 dial clocks with a proper metal dash panel fitted, extremly solid tax free and long Mot, capri type disk's & struts, ive also fitted a rear seat.

Bad point it needs paintwork to make it look nice, i touched it up to make it look 1/2 decent but needs a respray, a small amount of tidying up under the bonnet doors could be adjusted better, rear panel needs sorting out as it was altered to suit the old one peice door, certainly no major welding though.

Really sad to be even thinking about this but after being offered something thats finished, i just dont seem to have any spare time to do anything on mine and if i do get some time would prefer to be out playing in it rather then doing what i do all week and working on cars.

i hope your getting something decent in exchange mk1 vans seem very rare, i'm a bit of a novice but at a guess its got to be worth 3-4 grand surely? theres restoration projects going on ebay for 1500 needing lots of work!

nice mk1 van on ebay needs wings, sills etc etc he won't take less than 2 grand!! keep yours if you can can't be many left now

Hard to know what to do, wanted to try to get an idea of sort price id get for mine so i can weigh up if it's better to do mine or sell mine and buy the other one, as you say there's so little of them around it's hard to price any of them.

lucky man, its nice to have one on the road and be having fun in it, i'm nearly there with my mk2 estate, i've seen tidy mk2 vans with pinto's for 6k upwards and 7-8k upwards for zetec and xe powered ones(cant say if they made that or not though) so mk1's are easily up with that lot, i still think yours could fetch 3-4k, whats yours going to cost to finish it and paint to your colour choice and quality compared to the one your looking at, i know what its like i cant wait to finish mine, just found out my pinto needs a rebuild cos a babboon put it together
