I've just put planning in for mine.

What type of building you thinking of going for ?

I've looked at the rolled metal and cladding type amonst others, anyway you do it seems to be costly.

Lucky you if he can mate ................ i built one 12 years ago 4m X 4m in 10inch thermolites then rendered inside & out, with a pit, double glazed windows, 2 doors, loft space boared etc, that cost me £6k then.

What i've been looking at now is about £10k ............... but it's a bit bigger then what you want.

Went to a self build show a while ago and was well sold on Insulated concrete forms ,might do my next garage with them .They do roof sections as well you can mesh it and render it ,dab it or clad it no dpc required thermal insulation is there to keep you toasty warm in the winter .Just an out there sort of idea thinking out side the box
