    English Axle drive shaft upgrade

    So, after working on my axle to ensure it is dead centered so I can fit as wide tyres/wheels possible, with drive shafts removed, I observed that the splines that go into the diff are starting to twist!

    I believe my only option is to go to uprated shafts and diff with 18 tooth side gears?
    What power are these good to?
    Who would you recommend? Which manufacturer?

    On top of that, does anyone have the specs/length for a MK1 Cortina axle/drive shafts please as I believe they are shorter than the Escorts (They should be because that's why I fitted it!
    )

    Many thanks guys
    Cheers

    Even Grp4 shafts twist..

    I've seen people draw a line down them from end to end to keep a check on them. When they start to twist a bit much they replace them before they break. I'm not sure what the considered "too much twist is" before they break is though...

    3j driveline do a range of 2 piece shafts in 22 spline and 18. I have just managed to pick up some second hand for my anglia in 22 spline. various lengths are available. I assume we are talking english axle here ?

    I was thinking about some 3J parts. They seem to be quite popular now.
    Would you recommend them?
    Do they seem well made?

    I'll have to change my LSD as well because of the change in spline count so maybe I treat myself
    Cheers
