Sportex exhaust on a mk2 escort 4 door

I just bought a complete sportex system but i find that the mid section where it connects to the back box sits quite low and the back box itself sits at a bit of an angle..... they are supposed to be a direct replacement for the original but something isnt right....anyone else had any issues with these?

Most aftermarket exhausts especially the budget mild steel ones are shite. I think the Sportex system is just a cheap and nasty copy of an Ashley exhaust.

You'll have to cut, weld and fabricate to make it fit something like. There's nothing that looks worse than a poorly fitting exhaust system. Good luck.

i would agree with you there, i have to add that even standard exhausts never fitted escorts very well when the cars were much much newer, TBH i would not expect any exhaust to fit well without some tweeking

I've never had an off-the-shelf exhaust that fits a mk2 Escort very well. They always seem to need some tweaking.
