    Help wanted with anti tramp kit in my escort mk2

    Hello i brought an anti tramp kit for my escort mk2 and the problem is the bracket on axle its in the same place of the sway bar in the axle!! I need to remove the bar and install the trap kits?

    i would leave the sway bar and fit an a frame rather than binding[tramp] bars

    IIRC most Escorts have an anti roll bar at the back, but the RS models have the anti tramp bars with no anti roll bar. Ford made the Escort with one or the other, but never both!

    I think you will have to remove the ARB to proceed, or engineer a bracket that keeps both.

    As above.

    Remover Arb frome the car and then take an angle grinder and cut the old Arb brakets from the axle and chuck them in the scrap bin. Weld new anti tramp brackets to bodyshell and axle and fit the bars, job done.
