    complete beginer, where to start??

i am just restoring a mk2 rs2000, i have decided to go down the duratec route, its going to be a fast road car (hopefully) what kind of power can i expect to get out of the st170 ?obviously the more you spend the more you get. id like to have it on throttle bodies. and how much £££ am i looking at to get 180bhp plus at the wheels.any help, info and past experiences are greatly appriciated.
p.s i just have an empty bay so will need all the parts for a conversion. mounts etc. many thanks.gaz

yeah, can a mod move this to the correct section

gaz, the st170 engine is a glorified blacktop zetec.

if i were you, the first thing i'd put my money on is:

    retro ford blacktop fitting kit:

retro ford world cup cross member
    http://retroford.co.uk/retro-shop/pr...products_id=78

then you will need to sort propshaft / gearbox / gearbox tunnel

then... you will need a t/b kit
    http://retroford.co.uk/retro-shop/pr...roducts_id=107

basically everything you need is available from retro ford, give them a call and speak to Dave, and he will advise you as to what you will need.

    My Project... Fiesta D-TEC

your st 170 on jenvey throttle bodies and a correctly mapped dta s60 should do not far off your requirements. also give you good scope for future...arp rod bolts, cams, head all with a decent exhaust should see you near 230bhp flywheel
track fiesta on all the right bits.....
