    pinto conrod length

I am currently building a new pinto race motor and am having new conrods made.
if the crank is offset ground to 82 stroke and i am using a piston with a 25.5mm compression height, what length conrods would i have to have made if i want pistons to stick out block by 0.5mm.

    207.5 -41[half stroke]-25.5[compression height]=141mm

if i have a rod made 140.5mm would i be safe to deck the block to suit later?

    Thanks in advance

    Re: pinto conrod length

im using an 86mm stroke with a 33.3 compression height and a 13.5 mm rod, and use a 1mm thick head gasket with the pistons a little out the bores still after skimming the piston crowns and lightly decking the block,

a quick adjustment to suit your numbers says your about correct. if you need to you can skim quite a bit off a pinto block.
