1.4 efi escort van conversion to rs turbo help help help :)
hi all help is needed. hi have a 1.4 escort van EFI is it posable to fit a turbo EFI in to the van and use ecu from the 1.4 ?? i have been looking at all electric plugs and they appear to be the same i think it will run BUT COULD BE WRONG ( PLEASE HELP) THANKS ALL

hi there it would be better to just get the 1600 cvh and use the fiesta rs ecu....or rs turbo 1600...or is it your age for insurance........to be honest the 1.4cvh is dank...in the long run you will want to ditch the 1.4 anyways.regards nel

hi there do you mean the 1.6 cvh efi turbo ??? iv got a 1.6 cvh efi escort rs turbo engine and it looks the same as the 1.4 efi engine thats in the van now if i take the 1.4 out and put the 1.6 in it will all plug in and all pipe up but will the ecu from the 1.4 run the 1.6 turbo??? my van is a w reg 2000 model and if i use the fiesta ecu will that plug in or will i need a converter plug?????? insurance is not a problem thanks nel

answer to your question is no matey........the 1.4 ecu is not really wireable....u will need an rs turbo ecu.....ether fiesta or escort turbo type.....you could buy a universal plug and play ecu for more pennys............................not really up on the turbo ecu's but looked around and found most info...kind regards nel

could i use my loom or would that have to go as well???? if its ok to use the loom will a s1/2 ecu plug in it my loom but remember mine is a 2000 w reg modle or wood it be easer just to go for a non efi turbo ???

Escort and FRST are two different things only the fiesta has EFI the Escort has a metering system regulated by airflow
