Speedo Cable Oil Seal - Rocket Box

I've got a small oil leak coming from the speedo cable drive off of the Gearbox housing, does anyone know whether the oil seal is fitted from the outside or inside on a Rocket Type E Box? I would have though it would have been an external installation but before I start removing stuff off i'd check.
