    Electric fan mounting

    Putting an electric fan on a friends mk2 it will fit either side and we can order a push or pull type

    what side is best to put it on?

    Engine side fitting is usually tight for space so in front makes life easier!

    Both present a restriction to airflow so nothing there. If CFM airflow is the same, nothing gained or lost. Usually comes down to straight or curved blades, noise and power consumption!

    from the rad perspective Rear mounted is usually more efficient as teh fan is less of an obstruction for air getting to the rad in the first place, prob makes little difference when the fan is actually running though
