I decided that after the Snowdonia Tour last year that I needed some more nags under the bonnet, so preceded to take out the old RS1800 zetec and replace it with an ST170 motor. Whilst out I thought I'd freshen things up and upgrade a few choice parts such as a 2.4 quick rack, new clutch kit and paint up all the suspension parts.
I should take delivery of my Bogg Bros carbs/fannymold tomorrow and then just a quick wire up of the Megajolt!!!!

Trig, that's your old coil pack that I got off you last year, Jon thanks mate appreciated and Dave tbh mate I'm not sure what the carbs are going to be. I phoned Boggs, told them the engine spec and they're building the carbs and manifold to suit with tps etc. I'll find out and let you know as I should recieve them later today.

MegaJolt, whatever the latest version is I'm not sure, but using the first feed of the shift light to activate the vvt (possibly around 3,000rpm).
It's taken a lot longer than expected but I've finally got it all plumbed in, wired up and looking a lot tidier than she has done for a long time:

She wouldn't turn over, I had fuel and spark but could I get her to fire up, could I foook!
In the end I had to throw the towel in and ended trailoring her over to Bogg Bros (with the help of Madden, cheers mate) where she's been sat for the last month. awaiting some tlc!

Ok, the motors now back from Bogg Brothers and it's exactly the same as when it went (well nearly, the rocker covers fooked so now needs stripping and re-painting). Not even the so called experts can find out what the problem is!!!
To say I'm getting a little frustrated would be an understatement.
Now to work out another plan of attack to get this thing running.
