How do I seal a goodridge AN fitting?

Just looking for a bit of advise/help.
I have a fuel regulator and I'm fitting the male part of a AN/JIC fitting to it, how do I seal the thread? I assume its a pipe fitting, tapered type, maybe not but I tightened them in with a little blue holymer and they leak.
Do I use PTFE tape, will this seal? I'm no plumber as you tell.

Firstly the tapers in both parts should match - there are a couple of different taper angles. If the taper and its corresponding seat are matched they don't need sealant. Blue Hylomar isn't suitable for fuel in any case. There should be no need for PTFE tape or fluid - they are there solely to hold the two parts together.

JIC fittings seal on a flared concave / convex pipe face they don’t seal on the threads, you only ever use a thread sealant or tape on tapered thread fittings like NPT or BSPT

Cheers guys, the fittings where supplied with the regulator from Glencoe so I'm just not tightening them up enough. Ive taken it off again so I will clean up and just fit clean but tight.

A picture of the parts you're referring to would help.

And NPT fittings are terrible to use in fuel systems really, which sadly some of the FSE/Glencoe stuff do use.

He's not using NPT. he's using JIC , NPT is fine for pretty much anything though, many high pressure systems >500bar use NPT

The basic FSE housings are NPT with AN on the other side where the user attaches.
