Car meet at the Café in the Woods

Wendover Woods, St Leonards Road, Wendover, Bucks. HP22 5NF, Tel: 01296 620294

Saturday 16th April 2011 from 3:30 till 7PM (possibly later)

Non membership informal meet for car enthusiasts, not a club, just turn up.

The owner of the Cafe said they will light the bbq if enough people are interested so food and drinks for sale on site.

We might have to pay for parking £1.50 for 1 hour or £3.00 up to 4 hours but we will try to get them to waver it if we can park on the grass leading up to the Café.

Watch out, there are some speed humps on the way in and out.

If all goes well this time around we will arrange more meets either before or after the car shows season.

Good , right on my doorstep . Can't bring my Stylus though unless trailers are ok'd . If not then anybody interested could come back to my place to tyre kick later . That's the downside to being track only.

I think your trailer will be ok, I can't think of any reason why not.

The weather was kind to us and I met Paul in his very tidy Escort M2 at the Wendover Wood car meeting . Number of cars was a little low but it's the first time -- maybe more will turn up next time . I spent most of the time answering questions which is no hardship for me when my car's envolved . Swapped phone numbers with a fellow builder and enjoyed the crack as they say .

Paul , I can't remember the guy's name in the light blue jacket who was in the process of building a MK2 Escort . He spent a lot of time talking over set-up ideas . He took my mob number and intended phoning me so's I could get his mob number too . He's a good ' TIG ' welder and I'd like to contact him ----- can you put me in touch because I didn't get a call OR maybe he'll call me ??? Wondered where he gets his CDS tube and if he has a notcher . Email landscaping@robertfarley.demon.co.uk if he prefers . Thanks in advance .

That will be Dave, he is a building a mk1 Escort Zetec which I will be uploading photos of very soon. I will be seeing him tomorrow night at the MK meet hopefully so I will ask for his number or for him to call you. I don't think he bothers with email, forums or browsing the internet at all.
It was nice meeting you, Dave and Daniel were very impressed with your knowledge of fine tuning and race car setups. I think they are planning another meet in June.
