Would anyone know what would happen if i shorten the secondary exhaust manifold pipes by aprox 15cm? Would it improve torque after 5000rpm? Or would it just shift the complete torque curve in higher rpm range?

Nice result, i remember eyars ago i tried tuning one of these with Std injection and couldnt get the fuelling right at all, the air flow meter did funny things with the pulses and that was just a Kent fast road cam, ended up fitting a pair of 40's

No idea what will happen if you change the exhaust manifold, most often, nothing at all. But if you fit 2x Weber DCOE or a set of ITB with right ECU this engine will transform in a real racer.

The camshaft is clearly way too fast for your single throttle setup but will turn your engine in something complete different when you fit the Webers or ITB's.

Not allowed to remove the original injection in historic..
The camshaft is the one they used to run in the group a cars, wich made 150hp.

150 Bhp is the kind of power you can expect with ITB. Sound like a lot for a single throttle plate setup.

I believe I still got a power graph for a 1600 engine with 4x 36mm ITB, will check.

I emailed to enem in sweden who deliverd the camshaft and build the engines in the old days, and he said it might help torque in higher rpms when i shorten the secondary exhaust pipes..

If they have build the same spec engines and came to this result it should work for you also.

About the cam, 4,4 mm lift at TDC and single throttle body sound like a lot to me

Who mapped the engine? and how much torque and hp did you get?

I've checked the graph, took a picture but still have to load on my pc but I can tell you max torque was just under 160 Nm and max power almost 138 Bhp.

Power and torque dropped off little over 7000 RPM, head was, as far as I remember almost standard. I did had an other engine in the past, was running little higher in RPM, modified head and making more power.

Both engine mapped here in house on my dyno.
