    Timing chain compatability

    All.

I'm reassembling my 2737E 1600 X flow and want to change the original (49 year old) timing chain.

Most motor factors here in Germany know almost nothing of the 1600 X flow as they skipped straight to the Pinto.

Is the chain from a 771 Valencia the same? Or 1300?

    Cheers

I have some XFlow parts including a timing chain and cam-sprocket removed from a low-mileage kitcar engine.
You can have the chain and sprocket for postage cost if you want.

The Valencia 1300? I've tried everywhere I know in Germany and RWD Crossflow don't factor much here. The FWD does though.

A 771 engine uses the same timing chain as a 2737e as the block has very similar dimension and parts (note similar but not the same), despite the 771 crankshaft etc not being interchangeable with the 2737e crank.
