    Electronic Parts Catalogue

Not sure if this is the right section

does anyone know where I could get an Electronic Parts Catalogue so I can look up parts and also help teach myself how they go together etc

have bought loads of manuals etc off eBay only to be disappointed

would really like like a pc based system that has images with the part listing

    any info appreciated

I doubt you will find one (although i i am prepared to be corrected here).

I too have searched for such a thing and as the car predates computer databases the best i have managed is an official workshop manual and an official Microfiche for the car. Bother where not cheap but get me by. The next hurdle is most of the part numbers are unavailable

    Re: Electronic Parts Catalogue

I have had a rummage in my HDD and found a PDF of the workshop manual (of sorts...It differs from my paper version somewhat). But it has part numbers for most things as far as i can see.

If you want a copy PM me and i can mail it over.

Sorry if i'm being thick but this needs some clarification! I read "Electronic Parts Catalogue" and I mentally picture something like the RS Components catalogue but for cars ie. plugs, connectors, relays etc. But on the other hand you could be looking for a Car Workshop manual that has been scanned into a digital form ie. PDF for referencing on a PC?
As you don't mention what make / model car its for - we are none the wiser?

    Re: Electronic Parts Catalogue

    Thanks for your replies
    It’s the MK1 Escort 2 door I’m after
I’m looking for something I can have on my pc, search for a part (say front strut) and then view a breakdown of all the parts associated with the strut.
It would then also show you what order all parts go together etc

Similar to what’s available for some modern cars

    Maybe hoping for too much

    Cheers anyway

    Electronic Parts Catalogue

You won’t get an EPC for an escort electronic parts catalogs didn’t exist until some 15 years after they stopped making them. Best you can hope for is scanned copies of work shop manuals or parts lists

You've either bought the wrong manual or you're hoping for too much - Ford were masters at making manuals (photos are of a genuine Ford Escort Workshop Manual as issued to Ford Dealerships) :

With only 2 posts you cannot send a pm back.
Google "ford escort mk1 manual pdf" or similar and you will find links to pdf manuals.
