1000 Hp (Ford) V6 engine platform
Hi! Seek help from uk regarding getting an engine as basis for a 1000Hp build. Ford prefered....OHC/ DOCH only. For a Ford Project.
Finding an engine in breaker yards over here- as finding a needle in the haystack... Alot more cars sold in the UK, so easier to find there to take back home.
Have been looking at the 3.7L V6 Ecoboost from Mustang. Rods and pistons available. Could be something..... Can you find it at breakers in the UK?
Quick glance at Ebay showed up to other options;
4.0 V6 from earlier Mustang (same as Explorer)?
3.0 V6 Mazda/ Ford/ Jaguar.
Parts availabilty for theese two? Any potential there?
Engine need to be fairly short in length. Block, crank and heads in Stock form will be used. Add said parts + maybe intake and turbo's together With a porting job if needed.
A large volume 4- cylinder might also do the job. 3 litres?
Thanks.

It's a pity you require a short length engine , because the Ford "Barra " would have to be my first choice for a 1000hp build. Unfortunately you can only get them in Oz or NZ.

Jaguar F Type R is a Supercharged 5.0L AJ-V8 engine engine.
I've had one of these on a stand out of an F Type and was suprised by seeing the FOMOCO stamps on it. Not sure if this fits your dimension requirements.
Quick search says it's also fitted to the Lincoln LS and the 2002-2005 Ford Thunderbird, as well as in several Land Rovers, and the Aston Martin V8 Vantage.
