Nice to see my old motor is still going strong, did you buy it from a guy in scotland?
Looks nice, an unusual colour for an old escort too!

1969 'Big Wing' MK1 Escort
1972 MK3 Cortina 1600XL
1984 Sierra XR4i
And other junk I don't like to talk about!
yes mate, it was a 1200 mile round trip to get it, but it was well worth it. have you got any interesting history on her.
got her back from scotland, fixed the exhaust that fell off and took it out for its 1st propoer drive and blew the rear diff, just waiting to get another diff then i'll be out enjoying the sun in her
Love it!
hi mate, the diff was a 4.1 and was quick of the mark, i built the engine and got the carbs set up on bogg brothers rolling road in malton, ive got a dvd of the full build from a standard mk2 to the xpack, i originally built it as a flat front non arched in orange then decided to do the xpack, sold it last year so i could build a grp4 with a cossie lump which im still on with now.
very nice where abouts in essex are you?>
Old Fords Never Die, They Just Get More Filler!!!
Beautiful car, beautiful wheels.
Nice to see her again, its moonstone blue the colour. whats your plans for it?
3-door project
hi mate,
would there be any chance of getting a copy of the build dvd, would like to have a look. its a good build youve done on her, gonna need a bit of tlc soon, the doors are starting to go on the bottoms and a few other little bits and pieces.
hows your gp4 coming on, have you got much left to do?
Thats nice any photos of the engine bay
that looks real nice mate
the colour really suites it
send me your address and ill send you a copy of the build, nearly finished the shell now just sorting out positioning of intercooler and rad as its going to be a cossie lump
thats the same engine bay as when i owned it apart from the gold colour, just fitted a 500 intercooler and i think im going to get a rad made to fit as big as possible.
hi,nice car i saw it at fordfair 2007 i think and i thought i would be the only 1 with a moonstone blue x pack, since then i saw another 1 last year ,i still think its the best colour, just finished mine about 3 weeks ago,
Common as muck!!!! Lol.
u see less mondeo,s !!!lol
love that are you sticking with 4 1 diff i find mine quick off the mark but i want more top end so im changing to a 3 54 from Burtons Power see how i get on with that
ive now fitted a capri 2.8i LSD into it, its well long geared now, so ive gone and got myself a cossy engine now so the extra power should help it a bit, the wife wern't too happy that i went and spent a couple of grand on an engine 3 days before our 3rd child was born, but hey, you cant keep them happy all the time so theres no point trying.
Did this car use to have a sunroof ????
If not I looked at one about 5+ years ago that was the same colour with similar wheels................that was a cracking car.
You could weigh all that gold stuff in...worth a fortune...
Nice car...
Russ.
Hi mate do you still have this car, just wondering what happened to it . Was me and paul that built it I painted it, just wondered if you had put the cossie in it
Cheers simon
