    How to work out tran x first gear

    Trying to work out what ratio 1st gear there is in my tran x 4 speed box.
    1st gear has 27 teeth and the lay gear has 16 teeth.
    Any ideas?

    you could put it in 1st and count the revs of i/p shaft for 1 full turn of tail shaft. eg 2.4 - 1

    You also need to know the input ratio.
