Cam Selection
I am asking for some recommendations to help select the right cam for my new pinto build. I have a stroked and bored 2.0 out to 2.3. I haven't committed to a CR as yet as having pistons made. I have a well sorted head which flows around 180 CFM at .500 that in the past made well over 200hp with previous owner.
I want to have a weekend car with nice enough manners for traffic but have plenty of torque off the mark. I think max RPM at 7000.
Has anyone used a KCGT1 or know the duration a .50 as it isn't listed anywhere. Would i be under caming with a FR34 but i thought the high lift would be an advantage or maybe a Newman phase 4.5.
Any experience or recommendations appreciated.

Re: Cam Selection
What induction (carbs? what size? injection? what type?) are you gonna use?

Re: Cam Selection
I'm going to run twin 45's or 44 IDF, Good headers and big bore exhaust

Re: Cam Selection
FR34 would definitely be undercamming it; engine would run out of steam above 5000 rpm.
GTS1 would be my choice for a street engine.
(other people probably will suggest the RL31)

Re: Cam Selection
Does anyone have experience with the GTS1 cam. I'm assuming it would have reasonable torque at lower rpm compared to other cams with more duration. Does anyone know the duration at .50. I have looked every where and cant be found.
The high lift will suit my head as it flows 195 CFM at .560 if I'm lucky enough to get a little more lift then advertised.
Still keen to know some power figures and driveability from those that have been there.
