    Steering vibration

I competed in a targa rally last weekend and after the second test I had huge steering wheel shake and would only stop when braking to below 20mph. The steering is also now off centre and I have huge toe in as well. I've looked at all the suspension and don't see any movement other than a slight bit of play in the top mount bearing but not enough to warrant the vibration. I've taken the rack off and that feels ok too. The two issues are completely different so I'm a bit stumped. Car is a mk2 escort

    Have you checked hub bearings?

If you have toe in now when you did n't have before possibly means that you could have bent something, maybe a steering arm.

I had similar symptoms when the inner TCA bushes were completely shot on both sides.

I'd go for that theory too...
