BDA cam carrier
Hi all,
I need a cam carrier for a BDR 1700 engine.
But at which point we need a one with 1.25" inlet tappets ?
originals BD are 1.2" on both sides, but with 1.325 inlet valve, do I need to go a a BDG one ?

Re: BDA cam carrier
surely its the cam profile and lobe size which dictates that?

Re: BDA cam carrier
For a BDR even with those inlet valves you need the normal / std BDA camcarrier.
But make sure you get a later type with has been strengthened between the front and first "bridge".

What are you going to use it for? Street? Rally? Race?

Re: BDA cam carrier
rally in demo event, to replace my cossy N/A.
I hope around 190cv with L1/L2 cam's, valves are 1.325" (33.65mm) and 1.145" (29mm), BDR 1700 head. All steel engine. long rods.
Due to valve size, I can't keep it 1600cc, I have to change my pistons by 83.5mm ones. That's a shame as I have 4 new cosworth pistons !
