    Hey Dom,

Cheers for the comment. Power plans for now is a Pinto with a sidey and after a bit of a track time build up a hotter Pinto. The ultimate goal is YB......eventually!

Temporary stand for the Escort to stay on until moneys saved up and a game plan is made.
The Trolleys makes it easy to move the car around as the motors not a runner.

    2010_0315march20100058.jpg

Brought some Mexico guards of TradeMe for a decent price. This was before I had decided that I wanted to build an Alan Mann Replica.

    2010_0315march20100066.jpg

Decisions were final and an Alan Mann Replica was the Goal!

Bubble Arches were essential for the build. Cant afford steel ones, but I got these real cheap of Trademe! now time to get working on the car

    A Bit on the Side

As 'project Alan Mann' is destined to be a Racecar I thought I'd get a bit of Track Time.
So I took my Daily Drive for a Skid at hampton Downs

    My Daily - 74 Mk1 Escort 4Door

A few Snapshots from the Trackday

Me & My Mates Mexico on the Home Straight

My mates Mk1 Escort Mexico 1950cc Crossflow

A bit of a powerslide I got going

And then a bit carried away

All good Fun though and still got to drive the car back home from the track afterwards. Just gave me a bit more
    Motivation for the 2door

Hi Dom, Would definately recommend a track day, at only 90 bucks for the day I went out for 7-8 sessions. I was doing around a 1minute 30 not bad for a standard 1300 I guess

    Dave......just get a 2.0 Pinto !!

The AX block used for big bore x-flows are very rare & expensive to start with......you might get one but it would probably cost the same as a standard complete Pinto engine !!

    Cheers,
