Anyone no if you can get a oil plate that clears wcxm mount with filter on

I found this on ebay, not spoken to them yet but looks interesting.
Ordered one doesn’t fit with wcxm
Just went remote filter now
I bought the MST one and it doesn't fit with the wcxm mounts either, looks very like the one in that ebay link.
ASW, which remote mount plate did you get?
Cheers
Not sure if roger carrol still does them, I have one of his.
anyone tried this?

can't see how that would work. one way the filter would hit the gearbox the other it looks like it would go straight through the engine mount
I am going through this at the moment trying to find a suitable option
hey, yep his email is durescort@gmail.com
A quick update on my search. I went for the plate from DANST engineering as it had the most options. It didn't fit with WCXM mounts from retroford but as it is so thick i managed to trim the offending corner from the plate (by 10mm) and a bit of gentle grinding on the engine mount it now fits It is very close but as they are both fitted to the engine the should be no touching as the engine moves etc. I will see if i took pics to show the extent i am sure it could be incorperated in the design.
One thing is can anyone confirm which way round the outlets work i.e on the block which hole is out of the engine into the filter and which is from the filter back to the engine before i plumb up my remote filter.

I think I'm going to be ok using the standard ST150 Oil filter plate
I've made my own engine mounts from some spare Pinto WCXM mounts and they've come out a similar shape to the Retroford mounts, but as I built them with the engine, I could make sure they missed everything. The centre vertical rib and horizontal plate to the right remains from the Pinto mounts, the rest is built to suit, and I made the plate on the block first from some 6mm steel plate.
It might be that my engine is lower than the Retroford mounts would place it - I'm running Dry Sump and a lowered rack mount, so positioned the engine as low as it can go, just leaving room for the rear scavenge hose to get between the sump and the rack
I won't be running the oil / water cooler so there's nothing to go on top of here
It looks tight from above, but there is actually plenty of room and I can remove the Oil filter plate without touching the engine mount, although I will not be able to remove the long engine mount bolt without removing the dry sump pump but that won't cause too many problems as I'm not planning on having the engine oiut every week!
Then all I need is to tap the inlet hole to 7/8" UNF to take the Dash 12 pressure pipe from the Dry Sump pump which will then pass through the oil filter beneath the plate and into the engine.
I will also block the left hole which feeds into the original oil pump gallery
If this works, I have a new Oil Filter plate to do a neater job with, and this means I do not need a remote filter housing
In answer to the question about the oil flow, the std oil pump is situated at the front of the engine and pumps oil along a horizontal gallery which exits at the frontmost hole. Oil then flows through the Oil / Water cooler (if there is one) and into the outer section of the oil filter.
Then filtered oil flows from the centre of the oil filter back into the rightmost hole in the block.
The oil pressure take off is after the filter, thus is shows the pressure which the engine receives.

HI Gavin, if you do a bit of a search on ebay ford focus engines don't have the water cooling part on the filter housing item 264782941875 will show you. If it helps .
I also found another TS thread about oil flow which backs up your information left hand hole from the pump righthand hole to the engine. I have my oil pressure tube to the gauge on the pump side so it will read that pressure (it was the best hole available).
Hi - yes I've seen the plates without the water cooling part, but this gives me an easier way to make the hole for my oil union, and it came with the engine
