Recently someone was asking about the orientation of front seat belt fitting for a Mk2 Escort.

Found this diagram in an old service manual I had tucked away. Maybe useful to someone in the future

Now that did come in handy today as it’s been that long since I removed them and memory ain’t what it was plus not detailed in the Haynes manual

Its the bastard cast bracket that sits behind the inertia reel that had me stumped for ages till I realised I had two LH side ones DOH! Trying to get that, the belt mount, the reel and all the spacers, washers and get a fine threaded bolt through a hole in carpet and underlay into the cill . . . . . . is a lesson in patience or lack of it LOL!
