    specialist engines Essex

Hi I’m not usually on forms but I
thought you’d give you the heads up
On a bunch of cowboys in Essex.
I sent my three bar Anglia to have my V6 rebuilt
to specialist engines in Essex. It was meant to take four weeks
after six weeks phone calls and excuses blaming my car for the delays
I finally got it back last week the car is a mess. absolutely gutted engine pops and bangs won’t start from hot. replace parts that wasn’t needed fucked my wiring .drilled a hole through my dash disconnected my servo . Put it all down to me and my car lcould go on it’s cost me almost £3000
when I rang them went through it with them they told me to go fuck myself I think the guys name is Ian . So I’m just helping and warning everybody stay away from them I will let you know I get on

I would spread the love for this company all over social media. Make a sticker up for rear panel, ( if this car is smoking, sounding rough or keeping you waiting, thats because the engine was profesionally rebuilt by ............ised engines in ,,,,,, , sex.

Do a search on this forum for the company, also Google them.
Be warned, this may not make you feel any better but it appears that you are not alone unfortunately

Unfortunately they are well known, I cant believe Retro-ford and classic ford allow them to advertise in the mag considering the rep they have.

Sorry to hear about your problems fastford. Their name stinks throughout the engine tuning world and I would n't touch them with a Barge Pole!

Most publishing company's don't give a crap about their advertises as long as they pay the invoice at the end of the month. Adverts always get priority over news and articles in their Mags.

I know it's of no help to you now but a quick ask on a Forum about any particular company may be of some help. I appreciate that there are ones that have their favourite or preffered tuning company but on a whole it might give someone a good idea whether to stay clear of the said firm.

I remember seeing the SES lot from Essex advertising in CCC in the 70's, I can't believe that they are still Trading after ripping so many people off for all these years.

i dont go quite that far back but in the "trade" their name was rubbish when i started out in the early 80's, but back them there was very little way for your average punter to know that

I used them once in 1992 for a 1600 crossflow cylinder head Stage 2, it arrived with only 7 valve stem oil seals on !!??.

The reason there was not 8 was because the complete valve guide & top hat boss for the seal to sit on was missing ???????????????????

Got in touch and was told "It was alright when it left here, you must have "Fu***ng" damaged it and put the phone down.

I would never ever use them again, total rip off and crap product.

I bought a 1600 Crossflow stage 2 head from Vulcan Engineering, and it was and still is a fantastic bit of kit, well worth the money and good telephone manners as well.
